Me & My Girl (Takarazuka)

Since yesterday noon, i've been watching & searching for videos on YouTube. Then I came across some Takarazuka Revue videos by Amami Yuuki.

Its the 1st time I watched Takarazuka videos, I find Me & My Girl quite interesting. Amami Yuuki has got nice voice, she sings & dances very well!

Nikkor 85mm f1.8 !

Yessss, finally my friend broke the good news to me lastweek. The Nikkor 85mm f/1.8 D lens that I've ordered back in December last year has finally arrived!!

Here's a test shot of the lens , taken @ f1.8

This was shot at f2.2 where its slightly sharper than f1.8

I cant wait till I take some decent portraits with this lens, cause I just love to shoot with large aperture.

at the tip of letter k. a photography exhibition

I will be leaving to Singapore tonight, to see the exhibition by an acquaintance of mine. Its called " at the tip of letter k " - by self taught photographer Akiko Koga.

All the buses have been fullu booked, so theres no choice but to take the KTM train. Me & my bro have to sit for like 8hours. Just to get to Singapore. Gosh...its even longer than goin to Japan!!

Its 7pm now and i havnt even pack anything yet.

Pulau Ketam - Part II

Pulau Ketam is a quiet & relaxing location, its good if you'd like a quiet & small town. There are no cars there, the only transport is their bicycle, but with motor. Young & old people , walking along the streets, they know each other very well. Since its a small town. You dont have to worry about your kids getting lost, or someone stealing your expensive cars, etc.

The seafood was nice. But just for the crab sauce, i guess the shop near my place is much tastier.
The road to the houses is quite narrow. You have to open the road to the people cycling past you.
Houses were all made of woods.

My summary on the trip is a little messy, sorry bout that. One thing I can say clearly, is that I really enjoyed the trip...going with my lecturer & juniors. Thats the best part of the trip, to me.

Pulau Ketam I - Camera & Equipment

Finally I have the chance to visit Pulau Ketam which literally translated as "Crab Island". Its a photo trip , and this time I had the chance to shoot on a color slide, for the first time. Im worried bout my exposures...i've made some shots underexposed by 1 stop. We'll just have to send for processing & wait for the results.

I used my Minolta SRT100b with a Kodak Elite Chrome 35mm Color Slide ISO200 film. Actually, I thought of getting the Fuji Chrome Provia but since the shop only had ISO400 film, I've decided to take the Kodak which film speed is 200. Also Kodak's price is much cheaper than Fuji's. I also brought along my NikonD70s...which made my bag very heavy! I really should save my money to get a lowepro Mini Trekker AW , which holds 2 body & few lenses. Its beyond my budget at the moment. That will cost me around RM580.

My post about the trip will be posted tomorrow.

Just a quick update on what i'v been up to. I've been working on new prints to put up on devinatArt. Apart from that i've just met new friends from Kyuushu, Japan.

My sister was doing facial for one of them this afternoon, while the other two of my friends & I decided to watch Gokusen 2. That would be my 2nd time watching the drama. My friend Rina & I both like the actress Nakama Yukie. The drama is quite funny with her humorous character. I kinda liked the way she speaked , even though its rough, it was quite powerful.

Oh yeah, actor Hayami Mokomichi was quite cool in there...didnt know that he was same age as me? Guess Rina & I have same kinda taste? Well we are odinary girls, and occasionally we like to talk bout celebs, whos hot & whos not (^^;)

I have finally got myself a deviantart print account. I will spend more time doing vector art & hopefully , try out digital painting with my wacom. Have to brush up my skill in digital field , since its now the digital age. But i always fail to produce an image that I find is complete ( in digital painting ). Self learning , trial & error, repeat that & hopefully that will help me to improve.

This would be part of my freelance courier for a start. I dont know even if people would buy my prints , but who knows what's gonna happen. Well at least Im doing something ? :P

GOAL the Movie

I watched the GOAL on wednesday. Actually I was waiting for ZORRO 2 & TIM BURTON'S CORPSE BRIDE to be released on screen , but they werent on Wednesday, yet. However both of the movies are on screen since today!

GOAL was not a bad movie at all...the story behind the main character was quite interesting. He was determined to get into Newcastle United. Well, I did not expect them to play against Liverpool during the last match! Steven Gerrard even scored a goal in the movie LOL !! Yes, I support Liverpool football club.

Its quite amazing how the actor trained football for around 1year. He didnt know how to kick a football before shooting the movie. After so much effort, he learnt how to kick & score goals. Well done, I should say!
